1. We are humans, and we all make mistakes. The mistakes that we make are not usually on purpose, whether it is breaking a vase,or not completing a task. 【小题1】This article will provide you with ideas as to what to do once a mistake has been made.
Admit that you make a mistake as soon as you discover it. Delaying it longer will only make you feel worse,or may drive you toward making the wrong decision to try and cover it up.
【小题2】 Do not play the“blame game".Most people are smart enough to realize that this is just a poor attempt to protect yourself. Perhaps you gave a task to another person and it was never completed. But is it really the entire fault of the person you gave the task to or is it partially your fault for not following up? Keep this in mind before placing the blame on someone else.
【小题3】Maybe you broke your mother's favorite vase,or even forgot a friend's birthday. Just an apology can sometimes be viewed as a“quick fix",and apologizing and asking to be forgiven gives the person opportunity to forgive you.
Offer some compensation(补偿)for loss, damage,or injury caused. 【小题4】 By doing this,it may soften the blow to the person we've disappointed.
Learn from your mistakes. In the case of a job or a task, write a“to-do" list with the deadline before leaving the meeting. As for forgetting a birthday, put the birthday on an electronic calendar for next year.
Do better next time. 【小题5】We should try to understand what happened and try to make sure that it won't happen again.
A.Take responsibility.
B.Never repeat your mistakes.
C.Apologize and ask for forgiveness.
D.People’s faith in us can reduce quickly.
E. So sometimes it is necessary to write a letter to say sorry.
F. But not everyone knows how to admit making a mistake.
G. Offer to immediately complete the late task or pay for the vase.

1. My mother has always been a follower of traditional methods when it comes to anything. She cooks traditional food, likes dressing up traditionally and likes the traditional way of shopping. She loves going to markets and going from one shop to another to find out what suits her best. She can walk miles when it comes to shopping along with her friends. She knows all the local markets and shops and knows very well where she can get best discounts(折扣).
However, now she always gets tired when she goes out in the market. So one day I decided to introduce a new shop, which is much larger than usual markets and where she can also get discounts.I am talking about online gift stores. She has a basic knowledge of computers and can operate computers. At the beginning, she was doubtful about shopping from these online gift shops because she wasn’t too sure about the quality of the products.
One day I decided to get her some branded things so that she could build trust in these shops. I ordered a Timex watch and a Sisley handbag for her. She never bought things online, but when they were delivered as a gift, she jumped for joy. She could not believe that I had ordered these gifts for her despite her being not much positive about online shops. However, after she saw both the products, she was assured that these online gift shops sent the promised brands and products, she loved her new watch and handbag.
After this experience she ordered a gift for her friend's wedding. She chose a gift basket that could be made according to her requirements. They sent a beautifully decorated basket with fine wines and chocolates. The basket was so artistically decorated that it became her friend's favorite gift. Since then she has been consistently shopping online.

2. There are many ways to find a job. It can be as easy as walking into a neighborhood store to look at its announcement board . Local stores often have areas where people can put small signs telling what kind of service they need or can provide. Such services include caring for children or cleaning houses.
Or,job searchers can look in the newspaper. Local newspapers have employment announcements placed by companies seeking workers.
Another popular tool for finding jobs is the Internet. For example, people in four hundred and fifty cities around the world can use the Craigslist Web site to buy objects, meet people or find a job. Craigslist says that it receives two million new job listings each month.
Another useful way to find a job is through a college or university. For example, students at the University of Texas in Austin can go to the Career Exploration Center to get help in finding a job. Of course, looking for a job requires knowing what kind of work you want to do. For example, there is a book called "What Color is Your Parachute(降落伞)?”by Richard Bolles. This book has been helping people choose a career(职业)since it was first published in 1970.

3. Teenagers who spend hours in front of the television may have a poorer diet as young adults.
A study, which included nearly 1,400 high school students, found those who watched TV for five hours or more per day had less healthy diets than peers(同龄人)five years later. Why does this happen? Should the parents take any measures?
On the one hand, people who spend a lot of time in front of the TV, especially teenagers, may snack more, and that may affect their long-term diet quality.
On the other hand,TV ads for fast food, sweets and snacks tempt teenagers to eat more of those foods. And TV time might also replace exercise time for some kids.
Lead researcher Dr. Daheia J. Barr-Anderson,of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, told Reuters Health a clear correlation between TV time during high school and diet quality in young adulthood. While the heaviest TV viewers were eating the most junk food , those who'd watched less than two hours per day had the highest intake(吸收)of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and high-calcium food. In her opinion, parents should limit and monitor TV viewing.
As far as I am concerned, children should watch no more than two hours of television per day. And parents should set a good example by eating right, being physically active andcurbingtheir own TV time.
【小题1】What's the best title for this passage?
